Story

Each year as the holidays approach, we create a special, limited-edition holiday coffee dedicated to celebration and good cheer. We donate a portion of proceeds from every pound we sell to organizations doing important work in the communities where we source coffee—to complete the cycle of good works, good cheer, and great coffee. This year’s coffee, called Iridescent, offers an easy, approachable flavor profile based on coffees from the Americas that is sweet and complex with notes of chocolate.

All year long, we collect a penny per pound of every coffee we purchase to fund roughly $20,000 in community-building and development initiatives in the places around the world where we buy coffee.

During the 2015 holiday season, we’re increasing the amount we collect to a nickel per pound for all of our coffees—including Iridescent, our special gift-ready, limited-edition 2015 holiday coffee. This increase will help to raise an additional $20,000 in community-building and development projects in the coming year.

Recent initiatives have included organic composting programs in Burundi and Guatemala and crop-diversification efforts in Rwanda, among many others.

Notes

The celebration-themed design for Iridescent was conceptualized by our design team and is printed on a 100% recycled paper box printed with linseed oil-based inks.
